Here’s the sitting area in my guest bedroom. I updated this space a few months ago and these chairs are a fan favorite! They are extremely comfortable and so easy to clean! I’ve had these nesting tables (only one shown here) for years now and I’m thinking about getting the gold ones 🙂

Asher’s Bedroom Reveal: Designed with Love

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog. I know many of you have been waiting patiently for Asher’s bedroom reveal, so here it is! You guys probably will just scroll down to see the pics and not even read what I have to say, so I’ll keep it short. First, I’d like to say thank you to one of my best friends, Jodi, for teaming up with me on this project. Her attention to detail is impeccable and it was an absolute pleasure working with her. Now, let’s talk about this gorgeous lighting! This Color Big Orbi flush mount from Dutton Brown, was one of the first items I selected for Asher’s room. I love that I could customize it by color and finish. The super big orbs makes it fun, yet classic and elegant. Excellent quality! It was designed and made to perfection. The Bed: We got rid of his old bed before we started on this project, so this loft bed was the very first thing we bought. It’s definitely an investment, but the desk comes in very handy since we are doing Virtual Learning! The hardware were silver, but Jodi suggested that I changed them to brass, and what amazing choice! Love everything about this bed 🙂

Cabinets & bookshelf: I love that I can arrange these which ever way I want to. You’ll see a little switch up every once in a while. I actually have one extra cubby and an extra cabinet in his closet for storage. His closet will be a project I’ll tackle at a later time. It’s not a hot mess, just want to do something more custom in there.

Wall Mural & Rock Wall: Two of my favorite features! This was all Jodi’s genius idea. I can’t get over how gorgeous the wall mural is. It really ties everything in this room together. Thanks to my wonderful husband for installing it so beautifully. The rock wall is one of Asher’s favorite feature, even though it’s for decor purposes only. It brings that kid and fun element into the room and I love it against the mountains.

Accessories: The hardest part of decorating, for me, is picking out small accessories. I’ve placed multiple orders and went to multiple stores to find the finishing pieces needed to complete this room. It was all worth it though! I’m so happy I had a second set of eyes to help me with all of this.

I know I promised to keep it short, but with so many details it was hard to do so. I hope you love Asher’s bedroom reveal as much as we do! We put a lot of hard work into this project and I’m excited to tell you that, Asher, LOVES his new room! Yay!

3 Ways To Update Your Powder Room

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog! First, I want to thank you guys for your continued support over the past 2.5 years. I really appreciate each and every on of you! Secondly, I want to share 3 ways to update your powder room, since I just completed a quick update on mine. Let’s be clear, there was absolutely nothing wrong with my powder room before, but I’ve always wanted to make some changes. Please let me know what you think in the comments section below. Add an accent wall or change paint color:

Adding an accent wall or changing the paint color can really transform a space blah to woah! Sometimes you may even like your current paint color, but you’re really wanting a change (like me), therefore, it may be more ideal for you to create an accent wall! I love my current paint color and I did not want to add wallpaper to the entire space, so I decided to do an accent wall. My goal was to achieve a moody, warm and elegant look/feel. You can design an accent wall with wallpaper, trim, paint, etc.

2. Change out Hardware:

Oh what a difference this can make! Changing out hardware can be cheap or expensive as you want it to be. You can definitely find some great quality hardware on places like Amazon or Etsy! I got mine from Amazon, and I’ll link them below. I originally had oil rubbed bronze hardware, but I switched them out for brass and, I am absolutely loving the new look! My next update will probably be brushed nickel 🙂

3. Change out Lighting:

Ok, we all know the power of lighting, right? Not only is it important to have a beautiful light fixture, but it’s even more important that you choose one that will properly light up the room. Make sure you measure your space or use the lighting guide on google or on the website you’re purchasing from. The one thing I disliked about my powder room was the light fixture! Even if I didn’t change anything else, the light fixture had to go, lol. I got this gorgeous fixture for less than $100 #winning!

That’s it! Of course, you can change out accessories as well. For wallpaper specifics; I used 3 rolls of wallpaper on this 5ft X 9ft wall.

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog! I’m so excited to share another interview I did with Voyage Houston. In this interview I’m sharing how important balancing work and personal life is to me. Balancing work and personal life is not an easy task, but it’s very important. Finding a balance is not only so that you can spend quality time with your family and friends, but it’s also important for your mental and physical health. I’m still a work in progress, but I’m committed to get better. I also shared more about my biggest supporter who pushed me to open my Instagram account :). Did you know that I had a corporate job? Spring/Summer Living Room

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog. I’ve made some changes in my home for the new season, and I think it’s better to have each decorated space on my blog for you to refer to if you need to know where an item is from. Of course, you can always DM me, but you’ll probably find your answer faster on here. With that said, this blog post is about my spring/summer living room. Let’s start of with the rug! This gorgeous rug is from Inspire Me! Home Decor new rug line with Nourison, and at first I wanted the ivory/beige rug, but I am so happy I ended up with this blue/ivory beauty! It has hints of gray and beige too. I love the fact that it’s also super soft, modern, elegant, and not to mention very well made. This rug was my inspiration for decorating my spring/summer living room.

Now, let’s move on to the pillows. Initially, I had bought these pillows in emerald green and silver, but decided that they wouldn’t compliment the rug, so I went with these blue and silver pillows. They were on clearance for 75% off at the time #winning! I also got the ivory pillows for 75% off #doublewinning, lol. Even though the rug has a different shade of blue from the pillows, sticking to the blue family really made the rug popped even more. Of course, I could’ve went with all neutral pillows, but that’s not me. By the way, I’m missing one blue pillows. I ordered one to get shipped to the store for pick up (I hate paying for shipping), but due to this pandemic, the stores are closed.

The accessories. I didn’t go overboard on blue accessories, but it was necessary for me to have something blue on each side of the built-ins, on my coffee table, and on my sideboard. These small blue accessories ties back to the rug and pillows…and the entire look. I added some blush and greenery to give that spring/summer vibes.

This is not my fist time using blues in my living room. When I first started my Instagram page, my living room had blue decor. I’ll probably add a few minor changes here and there, just because I love playing around with decor, but the colors will remain the same.

After Christmas Decor – Living Room

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog. In this post, I’m sharing my living room after Christmas decor. How do you decorate after Christmas? Tell me in the comments section below. For me, I like to have a fresh and clean look. After getting rid of ALL the trees, lights and glitter, I just want to have minimalistic, warm and cozy look and feel. Even my pops of color are very soft.

The only thing that’s new are the the Miami Vases in my coffee table tray and those off-white pillows (they were on sale for 75% off, so I couldn’t resist). Everything else I’ve had before. Knowing how to re-use decor items and styling them so that they look different each time is key. Your bank account will thank you. When I’m tired of these pillows in my living room, I’ll probably move them to my bedroom or sitting room :).

A closer look at my pillows. Don’t be afraid to mix and match your pillows, just don’t do anything outrageous, lol. Here I’m mixing grays with blush and cream. Totally off topic, but kudos to my amazing husband for installing these lights in the built-ins all by himself. They make a huge difference and I’ve been wanting them ever since we had the built-ins made.

I used soft blush and greenery for my pops of color. I am actually loving this look a lot! I hate clutter and this year I’m even going to be more minimalistic than ever. I have two new colors in mind for this space, but I’m not quite sure which one I’m going to use just yet. You’ll just have to wait and see :).

The view that you hardly see. My goal is to get a beautiful chandelier for my living room this year. We never use the ceiling fan and I’m over it. There you have it guys! This concludes my living room after Christmas decor reveal. Hope you like the airy and bright look

Four Easy Ways To Decorate Your Canisters

Hello my friends! I’ve been getting a ton of questions about the canisters on my kitchen island, so I decided to do a blog post about them and also share with you four easy ways to decorate your canisters. Even if you don’t have the exact ones like mine, you can still use these decor items. You can move these canisters around. You don’t have to place them on you kitchen island. I have another set on my dining room buffet :). I hope you enjoy reading!

Since were are still in the winter season, I look for ways to get that winter feel in my home, despite the mid 70’s degree weather here in Texas. I also try to find different items to decorate my canisters for each season. So, here I’m using faux air plants and silver pine cones. These pine cones are from a box of potpourri I bought over a year ago. You guys know I love to find creative ways to re-use items. I also have a crystal bead swag on one of the canisters for that little glam touch. You can find the bead swag here.

2. Here I’m using faux succulents, faux moss and faux rose stems. You can find faux rose stems from the dollar store or Hobby Lobby. This is my favorite design for spring, so look out for this display in mid to late February. Yes, us influencer start decorating for each season at least a month in advance 🙂

3. Faux floral spheres are some of my favorite items to decorate my canisters with. Not only are they the easiest way to decorate your canisters, but you can use them to decorate your coffee table, buffet table, or even put them on top of books or in a bowl. You can find these faux allium spheres here. They are also available in white.

4. Finally, here I’m using succulent spheres. These are very delicate and are to be handled with care. That’s the only thing I don’t like about these. They tend to fall apart, but a little crazy glue comes in handy and will do the trick. Decorating with spheres literally takes 5 seconds, so you should invest in some.

And, that’s it guys! You can shop my Jules Canisters and have fun decorating them by either using the same items like mine or in your own way! Bye Bye 2019 and Hello 2020!

Hey guys! It’s been a while since my last blog post, but I promise to be more consistent in 2020! As a matter of fact, that’s one of my biggest goals. I feel like I have so much to share with you and this is a great platform to do so. Can we all say Bye Bye 2019 and Hello 2020!!? We are all going to accomplish so much and crush our goals in 2020. Yes, I’m speaking it into existence!

First, I want to say a big thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and support ever since I started my Instagram page 2 years ago. I would not be here writing this blog post if it wasn’t for all of you! You guys make me laugh, make me tear up with some of the sweetest and kindest comments and DMs, but most of all, you guys push me to keep going. I have so much to learn and so much more to grow, but I’m very grateful for all the wonderful opportunities that have come my way and I’m also grateful to have such an amazing group of insta-friends. You are all so AMAZING! THANK YOU!

The day I started my page was one of the most important things I’ve done in my life. I had to overcome my fears and stop doubting myself to get started, but I did :). I’m now doing what I love and inspiring others along the way. I must say that it brings me so much joy when I get a DM from someone telling me that they took a leap of faith and started their IG business page. If there’s something that you want to do in life, I am encouraging you and pushing you to go for it…at least try! One of my favorite quotes by the late, great Maya Angelou, is “That’s what you want to do? Then nothing beats a trial but a failure. Give it everything you’ve got. I’ve told you many times, ‘Cant do is like Not care.’ Neither of them have a home.” I couldn’t agree with this quote more!

Never ever lose yourself in anything that you do. Always be your authentic self and people (most of them) will love you for who you are. Just have fun in your journey. Life is too damn short. You’ve got this! Cheers to saying bye bye 2019 and hello 2020! Happy NEW YEAR, my friends! May 2020 be your best year yet.

Living Room Christmas Tree

Color Scheme: So, I’m sure you’ve seen these colors (blush & aqua/teal) in my home before. Since these are two of my favorite colors, I decided to mix both of them together to decorate this tree and my living room. Plus, had I decorated with any other color(s) I’d more than likely end up buying new pillows, and that was one thing I was trying to avoid. I think if my husband sees another new pillow he’d really think I’m crazy. I am also running out of storage for pillows *insert tears*

Ornaments: I also saved a few coins on ornaments, since I reused most of the ones I had from last year. If you’ve been following me since last Christmas, then you probably remember that my tree was blush and gold. I simply added a few more blush ornaments along with some teal ornaments, velvet magnolia clips, and blush poinsettia clips. To cover any holes, I added a few ribbons, some glittery streamers and glitter burst ornaments.

Topper: I wanted something simple and classy, so I used three magnolia stems that I had from last year and stick them at the top of the tree. One at the top center and the one on each side. The glittery spray tree picks gave it the exact look I wanted.
